An Update from the Osborn Law Team

What an incredibly challenging and unprecedented time the last few months have been due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We just wanted to take this opportunity to give you an update from the Osborn Law family as well as information on our current and future working arrangements.

As you are aware, our firm made the decision early to cease all non-essential face to face interactions and have the team work from home in an effort to protect the public, our team, our clients and our families.

The OL team have had the capability to work from home for some time as part of our flexible working arrangements. We were therefore able to adapt quickly to ensure the quality and timeliness of our services continued during this challenging time.

The health and safety of our team and clients have always been paramount to us in making any decisions including when a return to office would be suitable. Due to the easing of restrictions, we have commenced a program to transition our team back to the office, which will continue for the next few weeks. At this stage our office will officially be open to the public again from 16 June 2020. However, as we did pre-pandemic, our flexible work arrangements will continue, which include the team working from home on a weekly basis.

We are still performing only essential face to face meetings at this time which has been further assisted by the introduction of new regulations in April to allow witnessing and attestation of many documents via video conferencing during the pandemic ensuring clients do not need to venture out to have documents verified.

Personally, the lack of contact has certainly been something each of us here at OL have struggled with from time to time and have tried different types of communication mediums to ensure we stay connected during this time.

One hit for us as a team to help stay connected has been our regular Fri-YAY drinks via video conference at which we would just catch up on how everyone was doing as well as a few fun games played along the way.

Like many businesses, we have several parents part of our work family which has meant the additional juggle of children, home-schooling and work. We have been so extremely proud of how the team has really banded together to ensure everyone felt supported and to assist when they could.

One of our OL values is “In It Together” and that has never been truer than over the past few months.

The team have also together been continuing our community focus and giving back where possible, including baking for Soul Café to assist in ensuring their guests continue to be comforted and supported.

We know we are not at the end of these challenging times and that there is a long road ahead before we can all look back and say we are out of it. However, be assured that all of us here at Osborn Law are committed to continuing to meet the needs of our clients, team and community now and into the future.

As always, the team at Osborn Law are available to discuss any concerns that you may have and to answer any questions so please do not hesitate to contact us.
